Always keeping an eye on the opportunity alongside the risk

The "IMS training series" started yesterday with 22 participants from 11 regional companies.

Our "IMS training series" kicked off yesterday with 22 participants from 11 regional companies. "Analysis of risks and opportunities in the context of environmental and quality management systems" was the topic of the kick-off seminar. An important requirement in the new management systems is the pursuit of a so-called "risk-based approach". The seminar enabled participants to moderate the recording of risk inventories and to assess and evaluate risks.  To this end, the company representatives tried out various methods of risk analysis and assessment using their company's risks and opportunities as an example.

The seminar series consists of a total of 6 events, from which the companies can choose four per year. As management systems concern everyone, from managers, management representatives and internal auditors to individual employees, the seminar topics are put together in such a way that the various target groups are addressed throughout the year. The following topics include, for example

  • The role of top management in management systems - Legal responsibility of managers
  • Life cycle assessments in the context of environmental management systems
  • Carrying out risk assessments taking into account mental stress
  • Efficiently preparing and conducting audits with audit programs, plans and checklists

The aim of the seminar series is to find concrete results/solutions.

Under the motto "From the region for the region", the seminar series is a cooperative further training offer from the Chair of Integrated Management Systems, the ZWT and TÜV-Rheinland Akademie GmbH Dresden. It complements the "IMS Breakfast" series of events that has been established since April 2015.
