At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, a position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as a

Laboratory Engineer Control and Safety Technology (LST)/ Electrical Engineering (m/f/d)
- Reference: 15-2025 EI-LI LST-

to be filled for a limited period until 31.05.2026. The HSZG is seeking an extension.

The position essentially involves the following tasks:

  • Supervision and implementation of laboratory practicals in the basic electrical engineering course and in the field of LST,
  • Conception and collaboration in the development of laboratory equipment, its operation and the maintenance of the extensive LST laboratories,
  • Active participation in the transfer of knowledge as part of the qualification programs for LST,
  • Engineering tasks in the interests of the entire department, in particular participation in the administration of the department's IT infrastructure.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university education in the field of electrical engineering/automation technology/control and safety technology,
  • in-depth knowledge and professional experience in the field of railroad control and safety technology,
  • knowledge and experience in the design and development of laboratory equipment for teaching,
  • university didactic skills and
  • sound and practical knowledge of English for carrying out laboratory practicals in English.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Professional experience in the field of student education and experience/knowledge of university teaching procedures,
  • Experience in working with computer hardware and software as well as microcomputer systems,
  • professional experience in the design and development of laboratory equipment,
  • further foreign language skills.
