The Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science ' as well as Business Administration and Engineering Management have revised their degree programs, adapted them to current and regularly changing requirements and, as a consequence, introduced extensive change statutes for individual degree programs.
The Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies is pleased to announce the introduction of the new International Business Communication degree program. This new Bachelor's degree program deals with the fundamental disciplines of management and business administration and combines them in a special way with methods and aspects of successful communication. In doing so, an important focus is placed on languages and intercultural experience.
Another new feature at this faculty is that the Tourism Management course will be NC-free from the coming winter semester. Due to high demand, however, the numerus clausus has been reintroduced for the culture and management degree program.
Future social science students can choose from a variety of NC degree courses. Since the 2017 winter semester, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has been participating in the nationwide service procedure of the Foundation for University Admission with its Social Work degree course. Applicants for this course must therefore first register online via www.hochschulstart.de in the DoSV application portal and only then apply to our university.

The Bachelor's, Master's and Diplom degree courses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with the two branches of study "Mechanical Engineering" and "Energy and Environmental Engineering" were recently successfully accredited or certified for seven years. Students involved in the process praise the teaching at their faculty and invite prospective students to take part in practical studies in a family atmosphere. The accreditation or certification of the degree programs is a quality assurance instrument within the framework of quality management for studying and teaching at the HSZG. The quality of all HSZG degree programs is reviewed every seven years.
