Research Associate CircProMet (m/f/d) - Keyword: 62-2025 CircProMet -

In the CircProMet project, research is carried out in conjunction with the Saxon research cluster CircEcon. In the project, test specimens and real components are to be recorded and evaluated with the aid of optical 3D measurement technology in order to assess the possibilities of further use after their dismantling.

As part of the project, the job holder (m/f/d) will work on the following tasks in particular:

• Commissioning and, if necessary, adapting and further developing the measurement and device technology used in the research project,
• Implementation of programming and software adaptations to the device platform,
• Planning and conducting training courses for project staff on the proper use of the research equipment,
• Creating documentation, process descriptions and instructions (incl. e-learning formats),
• Independent implementation and evaluation of specialized measurement tasks as part of the research project,
• Professional supervision and guidance of student and research assistants.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in mechanical engineering, production metrology or a comparable engineering degree,
• very good knowledge and practical experience in using the optical 3D measuring system ATOS Q System with ZEISS ScanCobot (Zeiss Metrology),
• very good knowledge of the ZEISS Inspect 2026 measurement and analysis software,
• good knowledge of the optical-tactile measuring system ZEISS O-Inspect,
• good knowledge of the ZEISS Calypso measurement software,
• at least three years of professional experience in the field of 3D coordinate metrology.

In addition, the following are desirable

• good knowledge of MS-Office standard software,
• Experience in the creation of documentation, manuals, process and work instructions,
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with other hardware and software.
