On November 20, pupils were introduced to the language project "Polish - the language of the neighboring country".
On November 20, 2017, an event was held at the Faculty of Managerial and Cultural Studies as part of the language project "Polish - Language of the Neighboring Country".
Year 6 and 7 pupils from Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Löbau with teachers Ms. Blumrich and Mr. Rabel studied Polish under the guidance of Prof. Dr. phil. Małgorzata Maćkowiak, they overcame the first hurdles in acquiring the Polish language. With the dedicated support of Dominika Bartecka, Alicja Biernat and Justyna Gola, students on the Business and Language course WSPb17, they were able to learn Polish pronunciation and successfully master their first communication and arithmetic tasks in a fun and engaging way.
Thanks to Faculty Managers Gregor Hummel and Steffen Zücker, the students were able to learn a lot and more about our university and our faculties. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reiner Böhm (computer science) impressed our guests with the robotics laboratory. Perhaps the young people will come back in a few years' time, encouraged by our staff and students, to enrich our university with their enthusiasm?
