Systemic counseling (DGSF)

According to the guidelines of the German Society for Therapy, Counseling and Family Therapy DGSF

Total scope (incl. basic course):

220 units of theory and methods, 100 units of self-awareness and self-reflection, 100 units of supervision, 80 units of intervision,
70 units of proven practice in the form of documented counseling work

Degree / certification:

The course ends with a certificate of completion as a "Systemic Counselor (HSZG/ISA)" if all requirements are met.

The content, duration and scope of the training follows the guidelines of the German Society for Systemic Therapy and Family Therapy (DGSF).

If all requirements are met (years 1-3), participants can apply to the DGSF for umbrella association recognition as a "Systemic Counsellor - DGSF".
The following requirements must be met for the certificate to be awarded
- Regular participation in the seminars (420 units)
- Active participation and willingness to participate in supervision and self-awareness
- Proof of 100 units of self-awareness/self-reflection
- Proof of 80 units of peer group work and self-study
- Proof of 70 sessions of own counseling practice
- Preparation of 3 detailed case documentations, of which one counseling process comprises at least 5 sessions

- Presentation of 1 live or video supervision
- Active design of the final colloquium
- Written and oral final thesis: Presentation of a counseling process based on a specific topic.
