With the Teaching Hacks series of events, the Saxon University Didactics Center (HDS) makes examples of digital teaching practice available as inspiration.
As part of the individual hacks, university lecturers from all over Saxony describe how they have overcome various didactic challenges in relation to online teaching or how they have dealt with them. They often point out solutions that are easy to adopt.
The recorded keynote speeches are made available here.

Focus conference "Lessons Learned III" - Spin-offs of digital teaching experiences
When the first suspicions emerged in March 2020 that the coronavirus could become a problem in Germany, anyone who predicted that the result of the emerging pandemic would be at least three, virtually complete, digital semesters would probably have been declared crazy.
The "Lessons Learned" focus conference is therefore intended to present concepts, discuss successes and failures, provide suggestions and adapt examples for your own events.

The extensive research project BRIDGING "Digital higher education concepts - university alliances - subject disciplines" ended on 30.09.2020. The final publication now published contains answers to research questions regarding the transfer of digital higher education concepts to subject disciplines in the context of university alliances - embedded in existing research findings. Based on an interview study, in which a number of actors from the Saxon community also participated, disciplinary differentiation dimensions in connection with digital teaching, reflection impulses for university networks and a reflection model of multidirectional transfer processes as a translation and interface task were derived. The final publication can be found here: https://tore.tuhh.de/handle/11420/8855
Myths about digital change in higher education
"The majority of universities will die out... Face-to-face teaching is to be abolished... Digitalization makes teachers superfluous... Digital teaching cannot be credited to the teaching load... Digitalization restricts the freedom of teaching... Digital natives have absorbed digital skills with their mother's milk... Discursive formats are not possible digitally... Digital knowledge is more important than didactic skills... Digitalization is a cost-saving model..." -> There are some widespread misconceptions surrounding the topic of digitalization at universities. The new HFD discussion paper dispels some of these fallacies: hochschulforumdigitalisierung.de/sites/default/files/dateien/HFD_DP_13_Mythen_Digitaler_Wandel_Hochschulbildung.pdf
The first scientific anthology of the HFD "Shaping digitalization in studies and teaching together. Innovative formats, strategies and networks" has been published by Springer VS and is now available for free download. In the 33 articles, experts from the world of higher education provide a comprehensive insight into the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation for German universities. With this freely accessible publication, the HFD aims to promote more collaboration, openness, opportunities for participation and the courage to take new, unusual paths.
