The HSZG has received a grant of almost 3 million euros from the federal government's FH-Impuls funding program.
The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has received funding approval for the first major impulse project from the federal government's FH-Impuls funding program worth almost 3 million euros. The project "Efficient manufacturing processes for novel natural fiber-plastic composites" will run until 2021 under the direction of Prof. Sebastian Scholz. It is the first of at least four research and development projects in theLaNDER³(Lusatian Natural Fiber Composites: Decentralized Energy, Raw Materials, Resourcesand Recycling).
In the project, scientists from the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science are working together to develop practical solutions. In cooperation with numerous, mainly regional companies, the HSZG is thus setting new strong impulses in the research and development of natural fiber-plastic composites throughout their entire life cycle - from raw material extraction to material recycling.
Further projects within the LaNDER³ project are currently in the final phase of evaluation. Further information can be found on the project website at hszg.de/lander3/
