ZukLOS transfer conference

Upper Lusatia is undergoing structural change, which is accompanied by demographic shifts and the resulting shortage of skilled workers. To manage and shape these transformation processes, it is crucial to prepare the younger generations for current and future challenges. In addition to formal schooling, out-of-school education can also make a significant contribution to this effort.

The project “Upper Lusatia: A Place for Future Learning—Analysis and Development of Extracurricular STEM Education” (ZukLOS), carried out by the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz and the Technical University of Dresden, aims to lay the groundwork for the further development of the extracurricular educational landscape in Upper Lusatia—particularly in the STEM field. This includes, among other things, piloting exemplary teaching and learning settings in collaboration with regional educational institutions, surveying regional stakeholders, and involving young people as active participants in shaping their own education.

The conference is aimed at schools, out-of-school youth education institutions, the business community, policymakers, the academic community, and other interested parties at the learning sites. Participation is free of charge.
