Regional information day Horizon 2020 ICT area

At the initiative of the Enterprise Europe Network office at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, digital collaboration between universities in Saxony—and across state lines in Lausitz—is being further expanded.

For example, the regional information day on October 1, 2019, regarding current EU calls for proposals in the ICT sector will be held jointly with the Riesa-Großenhain Innovation Center at HTW Dresden. In addition, the event will be broadcast to the Zittau-Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), Chemnitz University of Technology (TU Chemnitz), and the Cottbus campus of the University of Applied Sciences Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg).

With this event, EEN Saxony is breaking new ground and is being actively supported by ZEUSS EU-Service Saxony, the SMWK’s research advisory service, and the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Chemnitz).

A similar cross-state event organized by EEN Saxony and EEN Berlin-Brandenburg was already held in Senftenberg in October 2018. At that time, more than 25 companies participated to learn about current EU programs—though there was no live broadcast at that time.
SMEs interested in hearing the presentations by Dr. Späth, a staff member of the National ICT Contact Point and an expert rapporteur on current ICT calls for proposals in the “EU Horizon 2020 Program” as well as experience reports from an applicant and an EU evaluator, can still register until September 27, 2019. In Görlitz, the initiative has found another supporter for such approaches in Digitale Oberlausitz e.V.
