A solid infrastructure is the key to the economic success of the German-Czech-Polish tri-border region. The division of Europe until 1989 posed major long-term challenges for the region. While the densely populated urban areas are now relatively good at being connected, this is far less the case in rural areas. Logistics and transportation, however, are among the most important economic factors in the region. Therefore, cooperation on major infrastructure projects should be encouraged. The event is organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in cooperation with Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Wilhelm Külz Foundation.
