My Smart Home - Living Independently for Longer.

Have you ever wondered if the light is still on—after you’ve already gone to bed? Or wished you could ask someone without disturbing them? That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring on September 16, 2026, in Zittau. We cordially invite you to an informative and interactive event at CELSIUZ. Together, we’ll explore: What can a smart home really do? And how can artificial intelligence make everyday life easier?

Begin 16. September 2026 - 09:30 Uhr
End 16. September 2026 - 12:30 Uhr

What’s it all about?

This morning, you’ll learn how smart devices make living safer and more comfortable—from automatic lighting to fall sensors. You’ll learn what artificial intelligence is, what it can do, and what it can’t. And you’ll see firsthand how an AI assistant answers real-life questions, such as understanding a letter from a government agency, looking up medication information, or drafting a letter. Everything is hands-on—you can try it out and ask questions.

Why this matters

Technology shouldn’t make life more complicated—it should keep it the way you know and love it. Just safer. Just a little more relaxed. And a little less dependent on always having to ask someone else.

This morning, we’ll show you how it works—step by step, at your own pace.

Who is this morning’s session for?

This event is for anyone who’s curious—whether you’ve never held a smart device before or have already had some experience with them. We especially invite people who want to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible—and their loved ones who are looking for solutions.

No technical knowledge is required. We’ll explain everything step by step, at a leisurely pace, and with plenty of time for questions.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

The second part of the presentation focuses on artificial intelligence: What does the term actually mean, and how does it relate to the smart home? Assistants like ChatGPT are accessible to everyone today, but most people have never consciously used them. We’ll explain in simple and honest terms what these tools can do, where their limitations lie, and why they aren’t a substitute for a doctor or family—but can still be surprisingly helpful in many everyday situations.

Welcome
What is a smart home?

You’ll get a clear, practical overview: What does the term “smart home” actually mean? What devices are available, what can they do, and what can’t they do? We always start with real-life situations: How does it feel when the lights turn off automatically? What happens when a fall sensor is triggered? How reassuring is it for family members when they can see from a distance that everything is okay at home?

Experience It Live: Smart Home in Action

At the demo station, you can see firsthand how a smart home works: dim the lights with your voice, control devices remotely, and test a sensor. Try everything out for yourself.

Break and group discussion

Meals will be provided.

Try out artificial intelligence for yourself

In the final part of the program, you can try out an AI assistant for yourself. Ask questions that are really on your mind: have it explain a letter from the tax office, adapt a recipe, or draft a response to your health insurance provider. You’ll see right away what’s possible and how easy it is to get started. If you’d like, you can then type in your own text and try it out for yourself.

Farewell and Closing Remarks

The event will wrap up informally starting around 12:30 p.m. The equipment will remain available, and the team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
