3D audio meets Heinrich Schütz meets orchestronics: 400 years ago, Heinrich Schütz wrote works that make spaces sound intense and immediate. What was ultra-modern back then is now a source of inspiration for the Leipzig-based orchestronic sound artist and composer Fabian Russ.
His works designed for multi-channel systems also unfold their magic in spatial sound. Sensitive balancing of classical and electronic sounds as well as writing music for all-round sound systems are at the center of his work. Sampling processes and spatialization of the sound become orchestronics in 3D audio and a unique listening experience.
The sound installation can be experienced daily between August 13 and 21 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in House Z IV of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Theodor-Körner-Str. 8, 02763 Zittau.
The cycle lasts approx. 2 hours in total, but can also be experienced in individual parts. The presentation begins daily at 3:15 pm, admission is possible during the entire opening time.
Admission is free of charge.
