Life situations in old age as well as the challenges and potentials of age(ing) have not only met with increasing public and political interest in recent years, but are also gaining importance for social work as a discipline and profession. Nevertheless, there is still a lack of theoretical foundations and classifications as well as empirical data on social work with older and elderly people in Germany.
The specialist group "Social Work in Contexts of Age(ing)" has therefore set itself the task of addressing, critically reflecting on and working on questions of social work in relation to age(ing) in a fundamental and cross-field manner, but originally from the disciplinary and professional perspective of social work.
In the winter semester 2022/2023, the WG Teaching in Social Work with Older People has organized an inter-university lecture series on the topic of "Current Challenges of Social Work in the Context of Age(ing)" .
Monique Ritter, employee of the HSZG, will give a lecture aspart of the lecture series on 15.12.2022, Marlene Jänsch MA, Hochschule Fulda, on the topic "Die wischen die Tische nicht richtig ab" - Rassismuskritische Perspektiven in der Quartiersarbeit mit älteren Menschen".
