Foundation workshop: Inventory and overview

#BusinessModelCanvas #idea development #business model

Begin 30. November 2022 - 13:00
End 01. December 2022 - 16:00

In this series of events, we’ll take stock of what you already have in place and what you still need to turn your idea into a business model. As part of our two-day event program, on November 30 you’ll have the opportunity to take a crash course on the startup process with David Sauer from the Startup Academy at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Following that, we’ll introduce the Business Model Canvas—a tool for evaluating your startup idea based on various factors. On December 1, we’ll take a deeper look at your startup idea using the Business Model Canvas, identifying where you’re already good and where there might still be room for improvement. The individual events are described in more detail below. If you plan to attend an event, please fill out the corresponding registration form so we can estimate how many people will be coming. If you decide to join us on the spur of the moment, you’re also warmly invited.

A Crash Course on the Startup Process

November 30, 2022, 1:00–3:00 p.m.

Are there questions coming up in your startup process that you just can’t answer on your own? No problem—just come see us at ahoj. We’ve invited David Sauer from the Startup Academy at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. He’s been supporting founders for many years and understands the worries and concerns they face at the start of their journey. He’ll outline the typical stages involved in starting a business and give you an overview of what aspiring entrepreneurs can expect during the startup process. Afterward, he’ll be available to answer your questions.

1. Business Model Canvas – An Overview

November 30, 2022, 4:00–6:00 p.m.

When does an idea become a business model? What do I need to consider? Following the event “A Crash Course on the Startup Process,” we’ll get down to specifics and introduce the Business Model Canvas. With this business model development method, you can use nine key competencies to gain an overview of where your plans are already good and which areas still need refinement. The event will introduce you to the method and prepare you for the follow-up event, “Business Model Canvas Under the Microscope.”

2. Business Model Canvas Under the Microscope

December 1, 2022, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

In this session, we’ll work with you to figure out exactly how you can make the Business Model Canvas work for you. We’ll take a close look at your business model using 9 key competencies. Have you always wondered how to break down a business idea into its most important components? With us, you’ll gain a simple visual representation using the Business Model Canvas—one you can take home with you at the end.
