Together for more climate protection!

Climate change and its negative effects pose significant challenges for current and future generations. Sustainability and effective environmental protection are therefore essential to counteract current trends and mitigate future climate challenges. As a research and teaching institution, we aim to lead the way as a positive role model and pioneer, addressing tomorrow’s challenges today. For this reason, a comprehensive climate protection plan is currently being developed for our two university campuses.

This plan is intended to serve as a strategic basis for decision-making regarding all activities at the university and to firmly establish climate protection as a cross-cutting priority. Through short-, medium-, and long-term measures and optimizations, we aim to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and, as a climate-neutral university, make our contribution in the future.

To effectively implement these goals, we want to involve you in our plan and our future actions starting today. Only together can we actively promote sustainable university operations. We therefore invite you to our first university-wide informational event. There, we will explain all relevant aspects of our project and inform you about future measures and activities.
