Citizens meet science - For a beer with the researcher

Have you always wanted to know what the researchers at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences are up to?

Look over their shoulders, ask questions during a conversation, dig deeper, and learn about the challenges and opportunities they face? What benefits does their research bring to our region?

This year, for the first time, we’re offering the chance to do just that in a very small group, right in the research lab. Over coffee and a slice of cake, you’ll get a closer look at Upper Lusatia’s largest research institution and get to know it in a vivid and hands-on way.

In small groups of up to 10 people, you’ll have the chance to engage in direct conversation, so it’s worth reserving your spot early.

• Machinery and research on the use of individual fibers from natural materials (e.g., wood) to improve engineering materials
• Complete production cycle of a natural fiber composite (production, processing, recycling)
• Integration of energy and production technology
