Course content
Detailed study plan
The Bachelor’s program in computer science is designed to last 6 semesters and is divided into foundational and specialized coursework. During the first three semesters, you’ll acquire the necessary foundational knowledge: from mathematical fundamentals and programming paradigms to software engineering and databases. You’ll learn about various programming languages and concepts and develop a deep understanding of operating systems and networks.
Starting in the fourth semester, you’ll begin your individualized specialization phase. Here, you can specialize according to your personal interests: operating systems, multimedia applications, edge computing, or software quality. The fifth semester offers you additional electives and deepens your knowledge in areas such as software engineering, web engineering, and human-computer interaction. In the final sixth semester, you’ll complete a practical project and write your Bachelor’s thesis, in which you’ll apply the skills you’ve acquired and engage in scientific research.
For the AIAdirekt track : During the lecture-free period, you’ll complete practical training phases at a company.
