Detailed study plan
The Bachelor's degree in computer science is designed for 6 semesters and is divided into basic and specialization studies. In the first three semesters, you will acquire the necessary basic knowledge: from mathematical fundamentals and programming paradigms to software engineering and databases. You will get to know various programming languages and concepts and develop a deep understanding of operating systems and networks.
Your individual specialization phase begins in the fourth semester. Here you can specialize according to your personal interests - be it in web engineering, mobile computing, artificial intelligence, computer graphics or embedded systems. The fifth semester offers you further options and deepens your knowledge in IT security and software engineering. In the final sixth semester, you complete a practical project and complete your Bachelor's thesis, in which you apply the skills you have acquired and work scientifically.
For the KIAdirekt variant, practical phases are completed in the company during the lecture-free period.
