As part of the development and implementation of the research and development field of the Chair of Pedagogy, in particular educational and counseling processes in nursing, the position includes the following work tasks:

• Research tasks in the research projects of the above-mentioned professorship, including academization in nursing, evaluation of nursing degree courses, practical guidance, nursing counselling, virtual skills training in nursing, nursing didactics,
• Preparation of project reports and publications,
• Collaboration in the preparation and implementation of project-related events,
• Teaching in the nursing degree programs in the scope of 2-4 SWS, especially in nursing pedagogy and counseling.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• At least a good academic degree in the field of medicine, nursing pedagogy, pedagogy, educational science or comparable with reference to the above-mentioned field of activity (Magister, Diplom or Master's degree from a university or accredited Master's degree from a university of applied sciences),
• good knowledge
  • on the diverse topics of the discipline of nursing, including the academization of nursing, nursing education and counseling as well as SkillsLab training,
  • the healthcare system, policy and economy in Germany,
  • research methods, especially formative evaluation and the development and design of teaching-learning scenarios in various formats and networking,
• pedagogical and didactic skills in teaching and
• very good written expression and analytical thinking skills.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Completed vocational training in a nursing profession (e.g. geriatric nursing, pediatric nursing),
• Internship in a field of nursing,
• basic knowledge of the Lausitz region with reference to the subject area of health and care,
• knowledge and experience of university didactics,
• knowledge of university-related structures and processes,
• initial own research experience (dissertations and theses during studies, student assistant activities, publications),
• initial experience with SkillsLab training and e-learning (e.g. as a research assistant or research associate) and
• a good command of English.
