The exhibition "The Most Beautiful German Books 2017" can be seen in the University Library in Zittau until 22.06.2018.

From a total of 727 submitted titles, two expert juries selected the 25 "Most Beautiful German Books" in the categories "General Literature", "Reference Books, Scientific Books, Non-Fiction Books, Textbooks", "Guidebooks", "Art Books, Photo Books, Exhibition Catalogs" and "Children's Books, Books for Young People". The Stiftung Buchkunst competition honors books that are exemplary in design, conception and workmanship and that show important trends and currents in German book production.

The "Preis der Stiftung Buchkunst" was awarded to the exhibition catalog "A. R. Penk. Rites de passage" by Olivier Kaeppelin, Danièle Cohn, Ulf Jensen and others for the perfect symbiosis of content and design.
