Maintenance work on the mail system

[Update] The maintenance work has been completed. Enclosed you will find the new features.

The maintenance work on the mail system has been completed and the individual services can now be used again.

With the takeover of Microfocus by Opentext, the associated design has also changed.
The GroupWise login screen at https://gwweb.hszg.de now has a new look.


New functions in the webmail client:

  • Complete download of attachments: Download all attachments of an e-mail with one click if more than one attachment exists
  • Change message type: While editing a new message, simply change the message type (email, appointment, task, note, phone note).
  • Right-click properties: Call up the properties of entries with a right-click.
  • Email priority: Configure the priority of emails using the ! icon on the right-hand side (low, standard, high).
  • Change appointment status: Change the status of appointments by right-clicking in the "Show as" submenu.
  • Better visibility of appointments with arrival time: Appointments with arrival time are now better highlighted in the view.
  • Configuration of substitution access: Substitution access can now also be set up and configured in the web client. This was previously only possible in the Windows client.
  • General bug fixes: Various bug fixes have been implemented.

 

New functions in the Windows client:

  • Mentions: Mention people directly when composing e-mails or calendar entries. Enter an @ and at least one letter of the desired contact from your address book and then simply select them. This is especially helpful when an email has multiple recipients and a particular division is intended for a specific person.
  • General bug fixes: Various bug fixes have been made.

Next Friday, 26.04.2024, maintenance work will be carried out on the HSZG mail system from 3 pm until probably 10 pm. During this time, the mail system will be temporarily unavailable so that it will not be possible to receive and send emails via the various clients. E-mails addressed to you will be held back by upstream systems so that no e-mails are lost.

This message will be updated as soon as the maintenance work has been completed.
