The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned field of appointment in teaching and research, in particular with the following focal points:

• Molecular cell biology,
• Immunology and immune technology,
• General and applied genetics.

The teaching duties are to be carried out in lectures, seminars, tutorials, practicals and projects or in continuing education. The teaching units must be secured university-wide. If necessary, classes / courses related to the area of appointment are to be taken on.

Appointment requirements

• A university degree in biology, biotechnology, medicine, biochemistry or related fields,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
• special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate,
• knowledge in the field of bioethical issues and biological safety, in particular in project management in accordance with division 4 of the Genetic Technology Safety Ordinance (GenTSV),
• special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods, demonstrated e.g. in research achievements beyond the doctorate and in a professional practice of generally five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.
