W2-Professorship "Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Energy Machines" - Reader Service Code: ME-042

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science' at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is seeking to fill a W2 professorship for

 

"Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Energy Machines" (m/f/d) - reference number : ME-042 -

 

to be filled full-time.

The position involves representing the above-mentioned area of appointment in teaching and research in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education, with a particular focus on the following areas:

 

  • Fluid mechanics,
  • Fluid energy machines,
  • Numerical flow simulation,
  • wind and water energy utilization.

 

Teaching units are to be offered throughout the university. Class / courses are to be held in English if required. Furthermore, the ability and willingness to participate in integrative, practice-oriented and internship-related teaching units is required. Where appropriate, classes / courses related to the area of appointment must be taken on.

 

Appointment requirements

 

  • A completed academic university degree in a subject area related to the field of appointment,
  • a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
  • special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, and
  • special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of generally five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.

  • the continuous commitment to independently carry out research and development tasks in the area of appointment in addition to your teaching duties,
  • active participation in the International Affairs of the university and the further development of the subject area,
  • the assumption of tasks in academic self-administration and
  • active participation in knowledge and technology transfer projects.
