The future post holder has the appointment area "Psychology of digital media and foundations of psychology" with a focus on the following content areas

• Psychology of digital media (for example media psychology, usability, user experience),
• Fundamentals of cognitive psychology, in particular bio/neuropsychology

in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education. In particular, it is expected that relevant experience from professional practice will be brought to the first focus both in the accompaniment of internships and in application-oriented class / courses in cooperation with practice partners. For the second focus, experience in the theoretical teaching of the above-mentioned basic principles is required.

Appointment requirements

• A university degree in the department of psychology or related disciplines,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
• special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate,
• special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice as a psychologist with a focus on digital media, usually lasting five years, whereby at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector,
• Research experience in the field of appointment and
• experience in supervising students.

• the continuous commitment to carry out independent research and development tasks in the field of appointment in addition to your teaching duties,
• active participation in the International Affairs of the university and the further development of the subject area,
• the assumption of tasks in academic self-administration and
• active participation in knowledge and technology transfer projects.
