The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is seeking to fill a W2 professorship in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the field of
Machine Dynamics

to be filled full-time.
The position involves representing the above-mentioned area of appointment in teaching and research in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education. The specialist focus should be in one of the following areas:
Teaching units should be offered throughout the university. It should also be possible to hold classes / courses in English if required. Furthermore, the ability and willingness to participate in integrative, practice-oriented and internship-related teaching units is required. Where appropriate, classes / courses related to the area of appointment should be taken on.
In addition to teaching duties, the candidate will be required to carry out independent research and development tasks in the field of appointment, to help shape the International Affairs and further development of the subject area and to take on tasks in academic self-administration. Furthermore, commitment to applied research projects and in the field of technology and knowledge transfer is expected.
Appointment requirements
The prerequisites for appointment are a completed academic university degree, proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training, special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, as well as special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of usually five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.
The Saxon Higher Education Act of May 31, 2023 (SächsGVBl. p. 329), last amended by Article 2 of the Act of
January 31, 2024 (SächsGVBl. p. 83), is referred to.
