The Russians are also lamenting the death of their villages and the decline of rural areas. For this reason, the attention there was very high when our partner university, the UNECON State University of Economics Saint Petersburg, placed the marketing book "The New Village" (Clemens Renker, Springer Gabler Verlag, Wiesbaden 2018) on the front page of its website www.unecon.ru in September 2018. Prof. Dr. Clemens Renker was immediately invited by the AHK German-Russian Chamber of Commerce Abroad as the representative of German business in Russia to give a lecture on the topic: "The new village - Make Russian villages great again! Новая деревня- Сделать русские деревни большими!"
The presentation of solutions for Russia was commented on attentively. In addition to various Russian experts and doctoral students, active participants in the discussion included the renowned capital market law expert from TU Darmstadt and Director of the Institute for German and International Savings, Giro and Credit Law at the University of Mainz, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uwe H. Schneider (pictured with book in hand), Prof. Dr. h.c. Rudolf Faltermeier (on the right) from the Technical University of Munich and former Vice President of the Bavarian Savings Banks Association, Prof. Dr. Falk Maiwald from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Director of the Russian-German Center, Prof. Tatjana V. Nikitina.
Anastasia R. Ptucha from the management of the Russian Association of Inventors and Innovators (VOIR, Moscow), whose more than 100,000 members come from science, entrepreneurs and the Duma, suggested publishing the book in Russian with appropriate Russian modifications.
