Volunteering is an indispensable element of a democratic society. Voluntary work is fun, but can sometimes be associated with accidents. Anyone who volunteers for others in their free time and suffers an accident is entitled to solidarity-based protection from society. The legislator has therefore continued to improve the framework conditions for accident protection in voluntary work in recent years. The seminar is intended to provide an overview of the protected groups of people and the various accident insurance providers as well as information on other options for private insurance.
