The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned professorship in teaching and research, in particular with the following main areas of focus:

• Fundamentals of German law and EU law,
• BGB with ancillary areas (land register law, residential property law),
• Commercial and corporate law, industrial property law and competition law including public commercial law (in particular antitrust, subsidy and regulatory law) and
• Property, real estate and construction law including public law aspects

in lectures, seminars, exercises, internships and projects as well as in continuing education.

Students are expected to represent these areas in a theoretically sound and application-oriented manner. The practical relevance to business administration, industrial engineering and the real estate industry must be ensured. The content and didactics of the teaching units must be of high quality, taking into account current practice and educational content on responsible, sustainable action towards fellow human beings, society and the environment. The teaching units are to be secured university-wide and as part of cooperative study programs, e.g. with TU Dresden/IHI Zittau as well as TU Liberec and, if necessary, other institutions.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• A successfully completed academic university degree in law,
• special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate,
• experience in applied research and knowledge transfer,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training in the university sector as well as relevant teaching experience, if possible at a university of applied sciences and in the main subject area,
• Ability and willingness to teach in English.
