[Update] WLAN eduroam reconfiguration required

The settings on your devices must be changed due to necessary security adjustments (certificate change)!

Dear users,

The eduroam network is a worldwide project that provides university members with free internet access.
Your connection data is transmitted to the HSZG in encrypted form each time you connect to an eduroam WLAN and checked here.

Due to necessary security adjustments (certificate change), it is necessary to change the settings on your devices!
With the certificate, your device checks whether it is a verified eduroam WLAN and prevents the transmission of your data to third parties.

We must therefore ask all users to set up the eduroam WLAN on their devices again. From 02.07.2019, internet access will no longer be possible with the old configuration (the setup pages will remain accessible). From 10.07.2019, dial-in will only be technically possible with the new configuration due to the no longer valid root certificate!

Please use the updated eduroam CAT configuration wizard for a simple and secure changeover. You can find this and information on how to set it up on the HRZ website:

https://hrz.hszg.de/netzzugang/mob-rechner.html

If you have any problems with the setup, please contact your IT officer / admin of your faculty or HRZ-Service@hszg.de, Tel. 3333.

We ask for your understanding for this measure, it is necessary due to the participation in the Eduroam network and the associated security requirements.
