Studying tourism management when traveling is very limited...?

... we clearly say "YES" and we are not alone in our opinion.

Travel cravings among service providers and travelers are in the starting blocks

At this year's panel discussion at the digital International Tourism Exchange in Berlin, our colleagues from the German Society for the Tourism Industry noted that the number of first-year students at German universities and colleges has remained at the previous year's level. Perhaps surprising at first glance - but not at all at second glance, as the Germans' desire to travel is unbroken and the travel yearnings of service providers and travelers are in the starting blocks so that they can take off into the world again as quickly as possible. This is shown by various representative studies, such as Reiseanalyse.

"We have gone from zero to full digital teaching with good exam results in the past two hybrid semesters."

It has never been so easy to bring experts from all over the world to our courses

However, the hunger for real university life is also great in our tourism business degree programs - student life, social contacts, personal exchange - we hope for this in the form of almost complete face-to-face courses from the winter semester 2021/2022. But we don't want to forget the digital skills we have gained! They will enrich our teaching units in the future. It has never been so easy to bring experts from all over the world into our classes / courses! At the moment, we are using the time to make our course content fit for the industry relaunch. Our Bachelor's and Master's courses have been future-proof for some time now: forward-looking topics such as sustainability, innovative business models and digitalization have long dominated our curricula.
Flexibility, individuality and self-determination for our students have also been part of the design principles of both courses for many years. From the fourth semester of the Bachelor's degree, we offer a wide range of options - studying according to your interests has proven its worth and is highly appreciated by our current students.

Good opportunities for our graduates

Qualified academics are also in high demand during the pandemic. The vast majority of our Bachelor's and Master's graduates have been offered good career opportunities in the tourism industry in recent months and have taken advantage of them. The experts also agree that they will be much more in demand again after the coronavirus crisis... good trained and motivated young professionals!
