The position essentially comprises the lead coordination of the staff unit and the ZWB under the direction of the Vice President for Education and International Affairs, management assistance in the Vice President's Office for operational and strategic tasks and the management of educational projects in the ZWB. This includes the following tasks in particular:

• Management assistance and coordination in the area of the Prorectorate:
  • Preparation and follow-up of the content of internal and external management decisions, meetings as well as meetings of the Prorectorate including documentation, presentation and preparation of lectures, speeches and greetings,
  • analytical tasks and reporting,
  • Monitoring the targets of the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK),
  • Coordination of cooperation with the relevant SMWK departments, processing of inquiries from politics, business and other university stakeholders,
  • Internal and external coordination and communication, independent consultation with and from internal and external university stakeholders and bodies,
  • Planning, implementation, follow-up and coordination of events,
  • Preparation of information, news and social media articles and press releases,
  • Budget control and monitoring of financial resources.

• Management of the projects of the ZWB
  o Personnel management, project communication, project reporting,
  o Acquisition of educational projects,
  o Project coordination.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree,
• Competencies in project management and standard MS Office programs,
• Professional experience in the German or international higher education sector,
• experience in applying for and implementing (externally funded) educational projects, ideally in the higher education sector,
• very good written and spoken German and English language skills.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Management skills in the education sector,
• Knowledge of decision-making structures and processes in universities and self-governing bodies,
• experience in the use and design of effective public media.
