From January to April 10, 2017, Zittau native Peter Schiffner will be presenting some of the results of his artistic work in the rooms of the Zittau University Library at Hochwaldstraße 12.
On display are depictions in various techniques from colored pencil to acrylic. Some of the motifs are inspired by the typical landscapes of Upper Lusatia and the neighboring Bohemian Highlands. Others reflect impressions of favorite places on the Baltic coast and other travel destinations.
For Peter Schiffner, painting has been an essential occupation alongside his technically oriented profession since his early years. The works on display were mainly created over the past three years.
Peter Schiffner has a long-standing connection with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, including his work in the former Department of Civil Engineering.
All interested parties are cordially invited to visit the exhibition free of charge during the library's opening hours.
