Spring: Saxon Switzerland

It's finally the weekend after a long week at university, but you don't have any plans yet?

Then grab your friends and off you go to Saxon Switzerland.

You can reach Saxon Switzerland by train from Görlitz within two hours and, thanks to our semester ticket, it's even completely free of charge.

In the small towns of Bad Schandau, Königstein or Schmilka, you can then explore the Elbe Sandstone Mountains on your own.

On 1200 kilometers of marked hiking trails, you can discover and hike through lush forests, mystical caves and fascinating rock formations.

Still no concrete idea of what you want to do in Saxon Switzerland?

Then why not visit the Bastei Bridge in Rathen and end your round trip with a hike through the Schwedenlöcher to the Amselgrund.

Or go to Königstein and climb the Pfaffenstein, visit the Barbarine and return to Königstein via the Quirl. A beautiful day hike where you have a wonderful view of Saxon Switzerland, Königstein Fortress and the Lilienstein all the time.

And for those who prefer more climbing - a hike in the Schrammsteine via the Heilige Stiege is always worth an experience!

Are you curious?

Then lace up your hiking boots and off you go to Saxon Switzerland.
