The Saxon University Basketball Championships took place in Leipzig on 30.05.2015. A total of 7 universities were represented with their teams. They included Leipzig University, TU Dresden, TU Chemnitz, HS Mittweida, HTWK Leipzig, TU Freiberg and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. To everyone's surprise, our university selection and its squad made it to the 3rd place match, where our team prevailed 45-29 and secured 3rd place in the Saxon University Championships. In the final, TU Dresden won against HS Mittweida with 45 -35. The SHM Basketball 2016 will take place in cooperation with the Görlitz basketball club GBC Squirrels in Görlitz. We congratulate our basketball team and look forward to the next competition in Görlitz.
