The Mechanical Engineering Education degree programme was established as part of the “Option for Studying to Become a Technical Teacher (OptLA)” collaboration project in partnership with the Technical University of Dresden, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, and West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau to attract young people in rural regions to pursue teacher training in technical fields at vocational schools.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to support our team in successfully establishing this new degree programme.

This role specifically involves the following tasks:

• Providing information and advising prospective students and partner institutions (e.g., vocational schools) on the program offerings,
• Presenting the degree programme at schools, trade shows, and other events,
• Supporting marketing activities in collaboration with the University Communications Office and partner universities,
• Assisting with the design of the program’s website and content for social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, etc.),
• Analyzing applicant data to optimize recruitment processes and adjust the marketing campaign,
• Optimizing the outbound marketing strategy for cold outreach to prospective students at fairs, in schools, or via social media.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as
• willingness to travel domestically for work,
• knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and content creation,
• fluency in German and a good command of English.

In addition, the following are desirable:

• knowledge of university operations,
• experience in marketing, ideally in the education sector or at a university.
