The Mechanical Engineering Pedagogy degree course was established as part of the "Option Studium des technischen Lehramtes (OptLA)" cooperation project together with Dresden University of Technology, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences and Zwickau University of Applied Sciences in order to attract young people in rural regions to study to become technical teachers at vocational schools.

We are looking for a committed person to support our team in successfully establishing this new course of study.

The following tasks in particular are associated with this:

• Providing information and advice on the course for prospective students and cooperating institutions (e.g. vocational schools),
• Presentation of the course in schools, at trade fairs and other events,
• Supporting marketing activities in cooperation with the University Communications Office and the cooperating universities,
• Support with the design of the degree program website and content for social media channels (Tik Tok; Instagram etc.),
• Analysis of applicant data to optimize recruiting processes and adjustments to the marketing campaign,
• Optimization of the outbound marketing strategy for cold calling students at fairs, in schools or through social media.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree in marketing, communications or a similar field,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and
• Willingness to carry out domestic business trips,
• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media and content creation,
• Fluent German and good English skills.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Knowledge of the university's study operations,
• Experience in marketing, ideally in the education sector or at a university.
