At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (ZIT), within the framework of the joint project "Lausitz - Life and Technology" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), a position (0.5 FTE) is available at the earliest possible date as a

Project assistant (m/f/d) - Keyword: L&T Strategy -

to be filled for a limited period until 31.08.2025 .

The HSZG is stepping up its activities to intensify the transfer to the economy and regional society. For this purpose, an alliance was founded in the joint project "Lausitz - Life and Technology", in which technological and social innovations in the research fields of additive manufacturing, networked storage technologies and attractive educational, working and living environments are promoted and realized in cooperation with over 75 regional players.

 

The tasks of the job holder (m/f/d) are

  • the further development and sustainable stabilization of the alliance, including
    • Organization and documentation of the exchange of expertise
    • Development of regional clusters, recruitment and integration of further strategic partners
    • Supporting and contributing to the alliance's business processes and the implementation of the L&T strategy as well as its visibility in the alliance and out in the Upper (Lausitz) region
    • Development of recommendations for action for the continuation of the alliance
  • Strategic networking of the L&T projects and the fields of innovation, including
    • Organization of event formats (workshops/conferences) with the involvement of supra-regional multipliers and
    • Development and establishment of evaluation processes
  • Strategic conception and formation of innovative clusters, including
    • Project support for research and development projects with external players
    • Preparation of content for project and alliance presentations and other committees
    • Organization of the interdisciplinary exchange of expertise
    • Initiation of knowledge transfer
  • Further development of a WIRkstätte/Public Science Center as an analog and virtual transfer and innovation space and
  • Transfer of results to the Lausitz region, including processing of results and development of suitable transfer formats.

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree in engineering with a proven technical reference to the above-mentioned technological subject areas (Bachelor, FH Diplom),
  • Professional experience in project work and management,
  • Knowledge and experience in conceptual and regional policy structural developments,
  • strong communication and cooperation skills as well as organizational strength,
  • creativity, interdisciplinary understanding and the ability to deal with complex issues.

 

The following are also desirable

 

  • Specialist expertise in mechanical and process engineering,
  • experience with research and development projects in the university sector
  • broad knowledge of the (Upper) Lausitz region, its economic and social geography and the landscape of its stakeholders,
  • a working knowledge of English.
