At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), the Center for Knowledge Transfer and Education, which is part of the Prorectorate for Education and International Affairs, is looking to fill a full-time position (40 hours/week) as part of the initiative of the Free State of Saxony "Attracting international specialists and workers for Saxony - Career Service" at the earliest possible date as a

 Project employee "Recruitment of international specialists and workers for Saxony" - (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2025.

Securing qualified skilled workers has become a key political and societal challenge. In addition to tapping into domestic potential, the recruitment of specialists and workers from abroad is becoming increasingly important. The Saxon state government supports Saxon universities in attracting international students, ensuring their academic success and promoting integration measures in Saxon companies. The job holder (m/f/d) is responsible for preparing international students for the Saxon labor market, which includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Individual skills development for students (skills assessment and support in setting personal development goals and their development),
  • Matching between international students and Saxon companies using the HSZG's existing career portal, i.e. creating skills profiles for students and matching them with the requirements profiles of Saxon companies,
  • Support in finding jobs for working students (m/f/d) and internships at an early stage of their studies,
  • Organization and implementation of supplementary teaching units (workshops), e.g. on the topics of key skills, application training, etc,
  • Mentoring / advice on individual career prospects,
  • Organization of industry-specific information events for companies and career events such as an International Week,
  • Involvement in the Saxon career network "TalentTransfer" and
  • Support in the revision of the HSZG's internationalization strategy.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed university degree,
  • demonstrable skills in intercultural communication and cooperation,
  • experience in advising people with different cultural backgrounds,
  • Sound knowledge of the Saxon labor market and the requirements for specialists there,
  • sound knowledge of MS Office applications,
  • strong communication skills and an independent, team-oriented way of working,
  • strong oral and written communication skills in German and English.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Knowledge and experience in project management as well as the documentation and presentation of project results,
  • Knowledge of the university structure and organization.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 11 TV-L. The first place of work is Zittau.
