The event presented innovative technical solutions for a safe home and offered practical insights into their application. The event was organized and carried out with great commitment by the AI4ActiveAge research project team.

The event was aimed at residents in need of care as well as their relatives, those interested in technology and multipliers. Over the course of three days, more than 30 visitors took the opportunity to find out more about technical assistance systems and experience them first-hand. The participants came from the Spreequelle district as well as from the surrounding area.

There was particular interest in the LISA emergency and fall detection system, which was presented in detail in the show apartment. Visitors were able to experience the system's functions live, including motion and fall sensors, an emergency button and an innovative door opening system. The vivid demonstration showed how LISA can increase safety and comfort in the everyday lives of older people.

Insights and new perspectives

The event not only offered visitors an opportunity to gather information, but also provided the project team with valuable insights. The needs and wishes of the participants were recorded in numerous direct discussions and targeted surveys so that they can be taken into account in the further development of the system. Another recurring theme was the desire for increased mobility, accessibility and an age-appropriate living environment, which the housing cooperative has implemented very successfully in the neighborhood around the Spreequelle residential park.

Great demand for LISA

The response to the technologies presented was consistently positive. Particularly pleasing: one in three participants showed an interest in testing the LISA system in their own four walls. This underlines the high demand for innovative and easy-to-use solutions for independent living in old age.

Thanks to all those involved

Special thanks go to all those who contributed to the success of the event. Thanks to the cooperation with local partners such as Möbelhaus Greif, Johanniter, Treff 47 and Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Oberland, it was possible to create a homely yet professional atmosphere that ideally showcased the functionality of the technology.

We would also like to thank the participating media representatives, in particular the Sächsische Zeitung and MDR Sachsen, for their coverage. They helped to draw attention to the important topic of technical assistance systems.
