Introduction

Tire abrasion in soil is increasingly becoming the focus of research papers. A junior research group at the ZIRKON research institute of the HSZG has been working on this topic since 2023. The research paper will focus on the analysis of tire abrasion from soil samples. Sample preparation, i.e. separating the rubber granules from the organic matrix, is the first step in carrying out the analysis.
