Publish-and-read agreements of the HSB 2025
Through publish-and-read agreements with various publishers, the University Library will continue to support open access publishing for corresponding authors of the HSZG in 2025.
Reading access for the respective journal portfolio is also guaranteed.
The DEAL contracts with the publishers Elsevier, SpringerNature and Wiley allow university members to publish articles in open access in the participating journals. Reading access to the full texts is guaranteed for almost the entire journal portfolio.

Publishing in hybrid journals is made possible by the Publish & Read component of the agreement. For publications in the respective Fully Gold Open Access journals, a 20% discount from the list price is granted on the publication fees (APCs). If the cost limit is exceeded, the publication fees can be passed on to the authors. Please clarify the details of the cost coverage with us in advance!

Members of the HSZG can publish open access in the journals of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) listed here. Furthermore, research in ACM publications and full-text access to e-journals, magazines, proceedings, conferences, special interest groups and some e-books is guaranteed.
Full-text access includes journals from the fields of psychology and psychiatry in German or English. The Publish & Read agreement covers publishing by members of the HSZG in hybrid journals and grants a 25% discount on the list price for Gold Open Access journals. Please clarify the details of the cost coverage with us in advance!
The Transformative Agreement enables open access publishing for HSZG members in the journal "nature" and 38 original Nature Research journals. In addition to "nature", reading access includes a further 65 nature research journals.
Title list nature
The journal contains research results on production and manufacturing technology from science, academia and industry. The articles have been published in Gold Open Access since 2023. Members of the HSZG can publish articles in Open Access as part of a national consortium without paying publication fees.
