The Upper Lusatia Career Days took place on September 27 and 28 in the Löbau exhibition hall. Numerous companies, institutions, and universities from the region presented themselves and offered visitors valuable insights into training, study, and career opportunities.
As in previous years, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) was represented with a large information stand – this time together with the GAT Institute and the nursing degree program. This allowed the university to showcase several facets of its study programs: from social sciences to nursing, from research insights to practical demonstrations.
The GAT Institute provided exciting hands-on experiences. At the booth, interested visitors could try out innovative assistive technologies from the AAL laboratory (link) for themselves. Particularly popular was the age simulation suit, which allows users to experience firsthand how age-related limitations affect everyday life.
The joint presentation with the nursing program also offered special insights: various nursing exhibits, including a dialectical foot, provided practical illustrations of the topics that nursing students deal with in their studies. This gave visitors an impression not only of the scientific background, but also of the practical applications in nursing.
With this wide range of offerings, the HSZG aims to inspire young people to study in Upper Lusatia and at the same time highlight the diversity of study opportunities available. The university and the GAT Institute are making important contributions to the future of the region, particularly in the fields of social sciences and nursing, and they made this impressively clear at the Upper Lusatia Career Days.
