The previously used radio link for data communication between the IHI Zittau and the university was replaced by a new fixed connection. After completion of all network installation and conversion work and successful trial operation, the new data connection was officially put into continuous operation by the HRZ on 22.04.2010. With this new connection, all central services and resources in the university network are now available to IHI users with a higher bandwidth (1 Gigabit/s).
