Expansion of the HSB's e-book offering
The following e-book packages for Saxon universities were licensed for 2024 using special funds from the Saxony Consortium.
Until December 31, 2024, you have access to the extensive range of e-books published by Walter De Gruyter and several of its imprints. The portfolio is multidisciplinary and includes, for example, the natural sciences, computer science, cultural studies, social sciences, economics and technology.

Over 22,000 e-books from Oxford University Press are also available until December 31, 2024. Titles from the fields of arts and humanities, medicine and health, social sciences, law, natural sciences and mathematics are available.

The studi eBooks (2,000 textbooks) and the scholars eLibrary (20,000 titles) of the utb publishing association can be made available for a further year. The 2023 packages for computer science, mechanical engineering and mathematics & natural sciences complement the existing e-book offerings from Hanser Verlag. The e-books can be accessed via the Hanser eLibrary: https://www.hanser-elibrary.com/
The e-book packages from Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft should be of particular interest to the social sciences and Managerial and Cultural Studies. The titles included in the 2024 packages Media/Communication Studies, Sociology, Musicology, Art Studies/Art History can be discovered via the Nomos eLibrary: https://www.nomos-elibrary.de/
The Technology & Computer Science 2023 package from Springer Nature was also acquired. The e-books are accessible via the SpringerLink database: https://link.springer.com/
In addition, the University Library was able to acquire the following e-book packages 2024 from Springer Nature independently of the Saxony Consortium: Economics, Natural and Basic Sciences incl. Mathematics, J.B. Metzler Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, Education and Social Work, Medicine, Psychology and Energy.
The Data & Cybersecurity eBooks Library Frontlist package from Wiley contains 15 e-books on data protection and cybersecurity (all published in 2023). Access is via IEEE Xplore: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/Xplore/home.jsp

The packages Pedagogy 2023, Psychology 2023 and Sociology 2023 were purchased from Beltz Verlag. The e-books are made available on the Content-Select platform.

Until November 30, 2024, 32 e-books from Wiley Verlag in the field of engineering are available via the VitalSource Explore platform. Access is also possible without registering with VitalSource.
