SG Teaching Assistant (m/f/d)

- Keyword: SG Teaching Qualification Secondary School with Special Needs Education-

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2024.

In order to counter the shortage of qualified teachers in Saxony, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the University of Leipzig (in charge), is developing a model course of study for secondary school teaching with special education. The establishment of a training location for the teaching profession in rural areas is linked to the goal of acquiring interested high school graduates, particularly in this region, who are interested in a professional orientation as a teacher.

In this context, the position includes in particular the development of the degree program in coordination and agreement with the University of Leipzig, including

Provision, preparation and systematization of documents as a basis for the development of the model course of study for secondary school teaching with special education,
Support in the creation of course documents,
Teaching in the inclusion studies program for up to 6 LVS,
Organization and documentation of processes and joint meetings and
Participation in public relations work.

The following knowledge and skills are required

Completed university degree in special education, special needs education, curative education and/or inclusion education or a comparable degree or 1st state examination in a teaching profession, preferably in the teaching profession at upper secondary schools and/or special schools,
Extensive communication, organizational and social skills,

didactic skills and methodological competence,
key digital skills,
a working knowledge of English.

In addition, the following are desirable

Experience in university teaching or adult education and in university didactics,
Experience and knowledge of digital teaching and learning formats,
Knowledge of university-related structures and processes and
experience in committee and public relations work.

We expect you to have

intercultural skills and the ability to work in a team,
interest in professional and academic exchange,
an independent and goal-oriented way of working.

Further information

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 12 TV-L. The first place of work is Görlitz.
