The physics department provides teaching units in basic physics for engineering and science courses at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. For this purpose, it has an extensive collection of lectures and a modern physics practical course, whereby the experiments offered cover the spectrum of classical physics. The choice of experiments depends on the requirements of the respective degree course. The work includes the following tasks in particular:

• Preparing, setting up, conducting and following up on experiments, including designing and implementing new practical course experiments,
• technical supervision of students during practical courses and collaboration in performance assessment,
• Participation in the provision, implementation and further development of experiments for experimental lectures,
• Participation in the professional, technical and organizational supervision of laboratory equipment in the lecture halls,
• Support with organizational and administrative tasks to ensure the quality of the class / course, and
• Taking over/supporting classes / courses in other structural units as required.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree in the field of physics, physics engineering, physics teaching or comparable technical degree programs,
• experimental skills and good technical understanding,
• a high level of technical competence and very good practical experience
• good theoretical knowledge in the field of computer coupling of experimental setups with regard to the execution of experiments, data acquisition and evaluation.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Experience in the supervision of students in physics practical courses and
• knowledge of foreign languages.
