On September 1, the new Microsoft framework agreement was launched as a state contract for all Saxon universities and colleges (rental agreement until April 30, 2017). Participation in the framework agreement is financed centrally each year by the universities and the Ministry of Science. This contract provides the most commonly used Microsoft products for all structural facilities at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. In addition to Windows 8 (only as an upgrade) and Office 2013 Professional, this includes various server products and the necessary access licenses. The products may be used on all computers belonging to the university for teaching and research purposes without the need to purchase a separate license.
