The activity includes the preparation, implementation and follow-up of courses in accordance with § 78 Saxon Higher Education Act and §2 para. 5 HSDAVO, in particular in the degree programs Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Natural Sciences with the following subject areas

• Applied computer science, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets
• Fundamentals of computer science, e.g. operating systems
• Construction informatics, e.g. construction CAD and
• Programming, e.g. introduction to programming with C or Python or object-oriented programming

including participation in performance reviews. In addition, participation in the fulfillment of administrative self-administration tasks of the faculty is expected. The position opens up the possibility of independent teaching in accordance with § 2 para. 5 HSDAVO if the personal and corresponding professional requirements are met.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree in the field of computer science or a related discipline,
• university pedagogical and didactic skills in teaching,
• practical professional experience in
  • MS Office applications as well as planning and visualization software,
  • Programming with Python and another object-oriented programming language,
• Ability and willingness to teach in English,
• Enthusiasm and high communication skills,
• intercultural competence and sensitivity in dealing with foreign applicants.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Experience in university teaching and in the running and management of degree programs,
• Practical experience in software development and IDE use,
• Completed doctorate related to the above-mentioned field or interest in taking up a doctorate.
