Every year, "The most beautiful German books" are chosen in the competition organized by the Stiftung Buchkunst. 889 books that took part in the competition were assessed by 2 expert juries. The title "One of the most beautiful German books" was awarded to 5 books in the categories of general literature, specialist books, non-fiction, art books and children's books.

The books of the 2012 award winners are now on display at the Zittau University Library until May 17, 2013.

In addition to architecture books and characters from all over the world, you will also find a pinch of Karl Lagerfeld, Georg Baselitz and Thor Heyerdahl.
