The position essentially involves the following tasks:

• Designing and assisting in the development of laboratory equipment, its operation and the maintenance of laboratory areas such as control, regulation technology, power electronics and electrical drive technology,
• Supervision and implementation of student laboratory practicals in basic laboratories of automation technology and electrical engineering,
• Engineering tasks in the interests of the department as a whole, in particular participation in the administration of the department's IT infrastructure.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• completed university education in the field of electrical engineering/automation technology/mechatronics,
• in-depth knowledge and professional experience in the fields of control engineering, power electronics and electrical drive technology or another relevant professional field of electrical engineering/automation technology/mechatronics,
• Experience in dealing with higher programming languages, IT administration and the integration of measuring equipment,
• knowledge and experience in the design and development of laboratory equipment for teaching,
• university didactic skills and
• sound and practical knowledge of English for conducting laboratory practicals in English.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Professional experience in the field of student education and experience/knowledge of university teaching procedures,
• professional experience in the design and development of laboratory equipment,
• further foreign language skills.
