On November 27, 2013, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences received works of art. The foundation stone for this was laid with the art exhibitions in the Zittau University Library. Ms Helga Pilz and Mr Brian Curling presented watercolors and woodblock prints in their exhibitions at our university. The Friends of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences purchased two of Ms. Pilz's watercolors and presented them to the university management. They can now be admired at any time in the HSB's special reading room in Zittau. The same applies to the three color woodcuts that Mr. Curling left to the university. They can be seen in the HSB's group study room.
The staff of the University Library would like to thank the Friends of the University and Mr. Curling once again for making these works of art available. Art and library belong together for us and we hope for our library users too.
